Find a group near you!

Currently there are two groups focused specifically on repealing the death penalty in Maryland.  We are actively working to start more groups, especially in Howard, Anne Arundel, and Baltimore Counties.  Please email saraklemm@mdcase.org if you are interested in starting a group in your area!

 

The Baltimore Coalition Against the Death Penalty meets every other Tuesday at 7 pm at the American Friends Service Committee Building (4806 York Road, Baltimore).  Their next meeting will be held on April 24th. 

The Montgomery County Citizens of Faith Against State Executions meets monthly during the legislative session and bi-monthly during the rest of the year.  Date and location of next meeting TBD.  Please email saraklemm@mdcase.org for more information. 

 

You may already be a part of one of the many groups in Maryland who focus on the death penalty as part of their work, including local chapters of Amnesty International and the League of Women Voters of Maryland, and various social justice ministries within communities of faith.  If you are a member of an organization like any of these, we urge you to encourage your group to take a more active role in death penalty repeal work - especially as the 2007 legislative session looms ahead of us!  MD CASE is more than happy to come to one of your meetings to talk with you and your members about working together.
